Missed those days when Apple and Blackberry are just fruits, and Nokia is just a town

I'm not good with things. Simply put, any single thing around me have the tendency to get broken or at least has to be fixed, far too early before it's supposed to be.

It's not until recently that I found out that I've bought one phone for one year, starting from 2004. Most of them were bought because my phone at that time got broken. Guess the 1-year warranty that comes with the phones doesn't matter much to me, does it?

My latest phone. Still can be used, though.

I remember those times when it's not that hard for me to buy a phone. Back in my early uni days, Nokia phones were the most popular ones and yes, they were reliable enough. Just a quick wandering through the stores in Greentown Mall, Perak and I could bring home one nice Nokia cameraphone. No need to compare specs, RAM, CPU, GPU, Wireless Class and whatnot. Those times when a phone is just a phone, with added camera.

With so much brands and model nowadays, it's actually getting harder to buy one. Once you've decided to buy any certain model, the sudden whispering goes all over your head saying:

1. Go buy this one. Just add a couple of hundreds bucks and you'll get higher spec. Come on!
2. Eh..no people using this phone anymore. This phone only suitable for your farther only...
3. This phone? Are you sure? all of your friend now use Iphone and you still stuck with Android?? Seriously??

And then you decided to go for more expensive phone. 8megapixel camera. HD retina display. Dual core processing unit. Higher this, higher that, hoping that it will make your life or work much more easier.

Sadly though, what you actually get is an overpriced mobile phone with over expensive Facebook browser.

....

Before making my purchase, I usually do extensive survey on the net. Everyone knows if you want to buy a phone, go to GSMArena for specs comparison and lelong or mudah for current market price. Since my phone is now broken (as the picture above), I need to repeat the same cycle again.

Haih...
